Project Background
Have you ever heard the phrase, “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” This film was the perfect microcosm for that wise old adage. Cowboys was an 80 minute feature documentary, our most ambitious project to date. We finished the score tallying 32 original music cues.

Our directors knew exactly what they wanted for the soundtrack. It wasn’t a spaghetti western nor was it modern. They needed a classic, big-orchestral sound. So, we wrote string arrangements for an 8-piece string ensemble. We also recorded eclectic percussion, complex violins/fiddle arrangements + acoustic guitars.
