Project Background
The Director (Brendan) is a longtime friend/colleague and came to us with a completely blank slate for the score. No temp, no references…no problem.

First, we built a mood board together, drawing influence from our mutual love for 90’s alternative music and legendary hip hop mc’s: Atmosphere, LCD Soundsystem, Biggie Smalls and System of a Down.

Second, we identified major themes in the film. The most apparent being Brendan’s relationship with the main subject, Jason. Inspiration hit quick and with Brendan’s approval, we built a warm, rhythmic bell sequence that signaled the pair’s interactions throughout the film.
